Web Site Back Up!

Well, web site pages should be back up again.

On the weekend, I assembled the new computer parts into a working computer (for the first time in my life), and this week I copied the website files from the old to new PC (with the old one just barely hanging on). I'll create an 'entry' on my 'computers' page when I get the chance.

The new PC draws only about 40 watts, instead of about 90 watts for the old one, so I am not as worried about power consumption issues as I was before.

Website Down!

In case anyone hasn't noticed, most of my personal website is down at the moment...my computer power supply seems to have died! I have researched and purchased the parts for a new 'cheap' computer, and I am a bit nervous trying to assemble one completely 'from scratch' for the first time.

A Sad Day

Pippin, one of my two cat buddies, died today. I will attempt to create a simple 'tribute' web page for him, just like I did for my first cat, Frodo. Merry, my remaining cat, seems OK so far, but I think he senses that Pippin is 'missing'...

Got back from an overnight trip to Morden today. Heard on the radio that gas prices had risen to $1.22/litre in Winnipeg (not good news).
